Marietta College completes it's second annual Hunger and Homelessness Week!

Hunger and Homelessness Week was April 1st-7th. The events of the week included:

This session will cover the basics of various social media tools including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Foursquare, Pinterest and will help you decide what is the best fit for your organization and why your organization needs an online presence.

Do you want to take your organization to the next level? Are you interested in planning for the future? While the phrase "strategic planning" can sometimes be intimidating, Bob D'Avria, a Nonprofit Consultant, will walk you through four easy steps to get you comfortable with the planning process. After this two hour session, you will be equipped to go back to your organization and walk others through the process as well.

Walkers will begin at 3rd and Ohio Streets and walk as much as 5 miles total on the River Trail (to Indian Acres Park and back) or a shorter distance if they wish.

 

Looking to make a difference in these trying times, the Marietta CROP Hunger Walk has set a goal of over 100 walkers and hopes to raise over $5,000 to help stop hunger and poverty here in our community and around the world, through self-help initiatives.  A portion of the funds raised here in Marietta will go to the Marietta Community Food Pantry.
